Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine involving the insertion of solid filiform acupuncture needles into the skin at specific points on the body to achieve a therapeutic effect. Acupuncture is used to encourage natural healing, improve mood and energy, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas of the body. Furthermore, acupuncture helps restore balance within the body by addressing underlying conditions that may impact overall well-being.
Depending on your needs, treatment techniques may include cupping, Tuina massage, electro-acupuncture, auricular therapy, and reflexology acupressure. Some of the ailments acupuncture treats are lower back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, insomnia, depression, anxiety, infertility, weight control, arthritis and sports injuries.

Dasha has been connected to acupuncture for a long time, since childhood her mother started to practice Chinese medicine back in Ukraine and then in Argentina. Before becoming a Dr. in Acupuncture, Dasha studied Business Management at SAIT, obtaining her diploma in 2014. After a few years in a business environment, she decided to become a yoga instructor, and now has almost 10 years of teaching many styles of yoga across Calgary.
In 2021, Dasha went back to school to pursue her dream to become Dr. in Acupuncture and TCM. After 3 full-time years of hard study, she earned her title and license to safely practice in Alberta.
Dasha attended the Calgary College of Acupuncture and TCM, where she covered all the major areas of studies that included foundations of TCM, diagnosis, Chinese herbs, gynecology, pediatrics, sport medicine, dermatology, facial rejuvenation, psycho-emotional concerns and more. She has been practicing at the college under careful supervision of experienced doctors for over 600 hours, as well as with her mother to obtain more experience and knowledge.
Her passion for holistic health and wellness as both yoga teacher and Dr. in Acupuncture can be seen during her treatments. Her aspiration is to provide excellent alternative medicine care for her patients. Every treatment is tailored to effectively address individual patient needs based on their unique signs and symptoms.
When not working as an acupuncturist, Dasha likes to bake for her family and friends, teach and attend hot yoga classes and read interesting books on well-being and self empowerment. Her favorite books include “Atomic Habits”, “The Spark in the Machine” and “The Alchemist.”
Looking forward to working with you.
